My name is Marcus Grella and I am a trained toolmaker with a deep passion for engineering, standardization and precision.

My professional journey began in 1998 when I completed my training as a toolmaker. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in traditional machining, during which I first encountered CAD and CAM systems.

After completing my further education as a mechanical engineering technician in 2006, I worked as a design engineer until 2012, during which I was able to deepen my skills in developing technical solutions. From 2012 to 2019, I served as head of design at a plastics processing company, where I focused intensively on drawing and feasibility analyses, as well as on highly complex measurement technologies (CT, CMM, optical verification).

It was during this time that my passion for standardization began to take shape—especially for ISO GPS (ISO 8015) and ASME Y14.5.

In 2017, I joined the Steinbeis Consulting Center – Design, Materials, and Standardization, initially working as a trainer. What began as a side activity soon became a true calling, and in January 2019, I decided to share my knowledge full-time as an independent trainer and expert. Today, I support companies around the world through training, consulting, workshops, and expert assessments.

For more than seven years, I have been supporting numerous companies both in teaching the fundamentals and actively implementing the ISO GPS standards system – including the challenges that come with it.
